We are recruiting for a Team Leader, to work within our Young People Services 

Salary: £30,105 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, predominately Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm, working 1 Saturday in 4 (with a day off during the week), once a fortnight to work a 10am-5pm or 11am-6pm instead.

We are looking for enthusiastic, positive and driven individual to join our team. You will manage a team of night workers who work with our clients across Chichester. You will have a calm and personable manner and be able to handle potentially difficult situations.

Duties will include:

  • Work with clients, manager, and team to understand and monitor complex needs of the clients in the services. Lead the team in understanding the need to crisis manage, safety plan with the client and debrief the team post incidents.
  • Quickly identify those that are at risk and in need of urgent, specialist support through liaising with service manager and team and to support the manager in engaging a multi-agency approach.
  • Liaise between the day and night teams to ensure consistent and effective communication and provide a handover to day staff after each shift
  • Manage incidents through the on-call service, emergency services or by providing assistance. This will be part of the on-call service

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • The ability to enable staff to motivate and inspire clients to make positive life changes
  • The ability to forge effective working relationships within a team
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people using excellent active listening skills to form healthy and constructive relationships
  • Good computer literacy skills and ability to make effective use of systems
  • Experience of delivering support to vulnerable people including those with complex and enduring needs
  • Able to prioritise and manage challenging situations
