Are you passionate about technology? Do you want to work for an innovative and forward-thinking company? We're on the lookout for an IT Assistant to join our small but perfectly formed IT Team.

A bit about us:

Gaming and retail are just a small part of what we do. Novatech also work heavily with some of the largest and most respected names in a range of industries. Whether it’s transforming maritime companies with lifesaving training simulators or implementing practical Deep Learning systems into the businesses of tomorrow, there’s no end to the amount of fascinating and cutting-edge projects that we are involved in (some of which we can’t tell you about, yet).

A bit about the role:

We're looking for a knowledgeable IT Assistant to join our IT team to support all areas of the business.

This role holds a key position of trust within the company and is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Novatech's Endpoint hardware, software and related infrastructure as used in the day to day running of the business.

The IT Assistant will deal with a wide variety of problems and systems, and day-to-day tasks will vary frequently, so the ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, have excellent problem-solving skills and be content with working independently.

The role also involves a lot of interaction with every part of the business, so excellent communication skills are a must – both written and verbal.

The successful candidate will be a keen learner and have a working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows 10/11, PC hardware, and end-user software such as Microsoft Office, along with demonstrable troubleshooting skills on Windows desktop.

What we need from you:

We're looking for someone with previous experience working within a customer facing IT support environment, with a good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 platform support, combined with strong interpersonal skills.

This role is fully office-based except for occasional local travel to our co-location backup site, and to aid with our onsite team when specialist knowledge is required. Also given the nature of some of the onsite work, the ability to gain and maintain SC clearance would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence is required.

Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.

What working at Novatech means for you:

There are lots of benefits working for us! Due to our non-corporate culture, you get a real chance to be yourself. We have a relaxed dress code and overall office environment and listen to music while we work. We are passionate about your wellbeing and like to have fun with our Company get-togethers and team social events. We also love doing things for others with our Community volunteering days and charity events.

We have good transport links to the office for when you come in, free staff parking and a lockable bike shed for if you drive or ride. Plus you'll get:

25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the chance to buy additional days)
Health plan scheme
Upskilling apprenticeship training
Cycle to work
Employee Assistance Programme
Staff discounts
Social and wellbeing events
A great breakout room
Kitchen and shower facilities
