The Aldingbourne Country Centre is located on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We provide vocational training for people with learning disabilities across a range of activities.

We are looking for a positive, flexible and creative Support worker to join our Support team at the Aldingbourne Country Centre on a temporary basis (6 month contract) 

A key part of the role is driving our minibus to bring people to and from the Centre to Chichester or Bognor on a daily basis (15 hours per week) Monday to Friday 8.00-9.30am and 14.30-16.00pm.

As well as this there is an opportunity to take an active role in supporting the well-being and development of people with learning disabilities.  

Working as part of a support worker team promoting a positive and supportive environment and assisting with vocational training in a variety of work-based social enterprises (including wood work, horticulture, catering, craft and performing arts), enabling people to develop skills, independence and improve well-being. Working to support plans, and following the appropriate response, reporting, recording procedures.

The Support Worker hours are 18 hours total per week between the hours of 9.00am and 15.00pm Monday to Friday.

· Annual leave: 25 days in each year, pro rata for part time staff. 1 extra day per annum after 5 years of service, up to a maximum of 5 extra days after 10 years.

· Sick leave: After the first month’s service, 2 weeks at full pay in a rolling 12-month period (pro rata if Part Time)

· Emergency family care/ career’s leave: Up to 6 days per annum (pro rata if Part
